The challenge
Vegan Mainstream had expanded across six separate subdomains containing podcasts, webinars, guides, consulting services, coaching, and blog content.
The structure had become increasingly difficult to manage and navigate.
Branding and user experience were inconsistent across sites
Navigation between domains was fragmented and confusing
Updating content, menus, plugins, or branding changes required repetitive manual work across multiple installations
Site performance and maintainability suffered due to duplicated infrastructure and disconnected systems
Even as someone working closely with the business, it was sometimes unclear whether the different websites belonged to the same company.
👉 The ecosystem had evolved organically over time, but no longer reflected how the business actually operated.
My role
I worked closely with the client to:
👉 Design and implement a unified website ecosystem that simplified operations, improved usability, and supported future business growth.
Audited all six websites and existing content structures
Defined what should be kept, consolidated, redirected, or removed
Planned and implemented the migration and rollout strategy
Rebuilt the ecosystem on a new hosting environment using WordPress, Astra, and Elementor
Created reusable systems and templates to simplify long-term management and publishing workflows
Execution highlights
1. Consolidate six disconnected websites into one platform
Unified six separate subdomains into a single centralized website
Migrated and restructured: ~60 articles, ~80 podcast episodes across two podcast series, ~15 webinars, 9 guides, pages, media assets, and supporting content
Implemented 100+ redirects to preserve navigation and existing content paths
👉 This created a single ecosystem instead of multiple disconnected experiences.
2. Rebuild the infrastructure and design system
Migrated the project to a new hosting provider
Rebuilt the website using WordPress, Astra theme, and Elementor page builder
Replaced fragmented layouts and inconsistent styling with a cohesive visual system
👉 Simplified future maintenance, branding updates, and scalability.
3. Create scalable publishing structures
Created five reusable templates for guides, webinars, articles, podcast Pivot episodes, and podcast Spark episodes
Used dynamic content fields to standardize layouts and simplify publishing workflows
👉 This reduced repetitive manual work and ensured long-term consistency across content types.
4. Improve information architecture and discoverability
Created dedicated archive and search result pages
Reorganized navigation and internal pathways across the ecosystem
Structured content into clearer and easier-to-navigate sections
👉 Users could now find relevant content and move through the ecosystem more intuitively.
5. Streamline operational workflows and integrations
Migrated and rebuilt contact forms and lead capture workflows
Connected forms with automated email responses, Slack notifications, email marketing systems, and Google Sheets tracking
Introduced reusable structures and centralized management workflows
